Point Cook - Geelong
Point Cook - Geelong
December 5, 2018
Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth, when my host offered to drop me off in Geelong and save 30 miles of straight road headwind hell I only had to think of the answer for about two seconds. Even though I’m touring if a lift is put to me there is only one reply. I found my new hosts house, settled in the granny flat with it’s own bedroom, bathroom and gym area and arranged to meet up with my daughter who is out here. Lucky that she is staying with a family in the same street. We met up for a few hours and went out to get myself some supplies as the tour starts properly in a couple of days. My hosts in Geelong were Sarah and her children Oscar & Mika. They also had 2 friends staying over as they were going off camping the next day. Dinner was awesome with them all as we chatted and chowed down on vegetable wraps with roasted cheese covered Zucchini (Aubergine) slices. It was early to bed as even though it is my 3rd time in Australia the jet lag can be so heavy that once tiredness sets in it’s hard to push through. As normal with jet lag though waking up at 2am wide awake becomes part of the adjustment routine.
